Linoleum Prints
Linoleum Prints, like woodblock prints are made using the reduction printmaking method. Prints begin as a drawing which is carved into a linoleum print block, also known as a plate. The plate is carefully covered with ink and the image is transferred to paper.
Once the initial image is printed, the plate is cut and printed again to create additional layers of color and detail. Each time the plate is cut, the previous image is destroyed to create new details.
Each of my prints is hand registered and an original artwork.
